關西滑雪 - 琵琶湖Valley びわ湖バレイ [Kansai] Biwako Valley Ski Resort

在這個關西JR Wide Area Pass之旅出發前，其實我很想去試試滑雪的呢！做了些資料搜集，找到在京都附近的滑雪場。但今年天氣較暖，很多滑雪場都要延遲開幕。

那就打消了滑雪的念頭。

在旅程第三天乘車到敦賀之時，看到途中有座山，山峰帶著白雪，好想拍個照，但Thunderbird太快拍不到。

Before starting my 5-day JR Wide Area Pass trip, I planned to go ski for a day near Kyoto. Unfortunately the plan was cacnelled since most of the ski resorts couldn't open on time due to the warm winter.

第四天坐湖西線到琵琶湖，見到有一對公公婆婆拿著滑雪用具上車，婆婆見到Monkey後開始跟我聊起來，原來他們真的要去滑雪呢，說車站附近有個滑雪場，交通很便利的。

待他們下車後便開始找資料，原來在湖西線的志賀站有個叫琵琶湖Valley びわ湖バレイ的滑雪場，而且當天是今年度第一天營業的。

網上有由大阪出發的滑雪一日團，可按此預訂。

On the 4th day, I met an elder couple on the way to Biwako (Lake Biwa), they were going to a ski resort near a JR station of the Kosei sen (湖西線). I google and found it was the first day of the winter seasons.

And of course I changed my itinerary immediately.

坐JR到志賀站下車 (由JR京都出發大約40分鐘)，那時其實已經過了接駁巴士的開出時間。

我本想在車站附近逛逛，等下一班接駁車的。

但在出閘時在人工通道查票的鐵道員問我是否到びわ湖バレイ，我點頭示意，他就著我趕快跑出車站，說巴士還在！

I got off at Shiga station (志賀), it took around 40mins from JR Kyoto staion. There are shuttle bus just outside the station. I thought I missed the shuttle bus so I walked slowly down the stairs. The JR staff saw me and asked if I was going to Biwako Valley (the ski resort), the shuttle bus was STILL outside!!!

由車站左邊出口跑出去，右面真的有架旅遊車呢！

旁邊寫上びわ湖バレイ巴士站，應該是這架車吧！

The shuttle bus stop is located on the left exit of the station.

巴士遲了開出的原因是因為滿座了，司機伯伯要安排乘客坐在走廊中間的後備椅子上，所以用多了時間。

而我由於是最後一個到達，就剛剛好是唯一一個要站在門口沒有座位的乘客。

非常感謝伯伯讓我坐上巴士！！

哈哈，站在坐滿的巴士上面的我感覺好像一位導遊呢！

The delay was due to full capacity. the driver had to spend time re-arranging the seats and packed every passengers in.

I was so luckly to be the last passengers, and the only one standing by the door. No need to wait for an hour or half for the next shuttle.

其實車程不到五分鐘吧！好像由車站那裡出發，沿大路走了一會就轉上山，過了一會便到。

第一次去滑雪場，看到這綠悠悠的樹木，有點不知所措。

(雪在那裡呢??)

The ski resort is just 5 minutes away the station.

Felt weird with the green trees surrounding after getting off the shuttle, "am I going to ski on the grasses?"

由於滑雪場今年度剛開業，所以有開業優惠套票呢！只要9800円包括纜車、吊車、午餐、滑雪用具及衣服。

Let's get the ticket first.

The opening offers (9800yen) included ropeway, lift, lunch, gear and ski clothes.

買好票就去選滑雪衣服及裝備。

Next step is to pick your gear and clothes.

先填表格，要選定Ski or Snowboard，然後交到櫃檯。

Fill up the form, choose between ski and snowboard, and hand it to the counter.

要自備手套及冷帽，手套是必須要戴的。

沒帶的話可以在商店購買。

You have to bring your own ski gloves and hat or have to purchase in the shop.

流程是 The steps:

1. 先選衣服，換好 pick the jacket

2. 拿鞋子，換好 pick the pants

3. 存放行李（400円），記住身上帶些錢 store your belongings inside coin locker (400yen), make sure to keep some cash with you

(滑雪眼鏡要另付1000円) Goggles need extra 1000yen

4. 拿滑雪裝備 get you gear

5. 坐纜車上雪山 ready to take the ropeway uphill.

由於是第一天營業的關係，所以我當日所選的衣服滑雪鞋都是全新的！

超Lucky😁

只是新鞋子有點難穿，幸好有工作人員幫忙。

由於是第一次滑雪的關係，特意報讀了滑雪板初心者課程。

若用上英語授課的要27000円，可1-3人上課，即使一人也要27000円呢；而日語課程只要6000円。

我就當然選了日語課啦。

The resort offers brand new jackets, pants and even the ski boots for the new winter season (lucky!).

Staff were friendly and helpful, they even helped me to get my feet into the new boots (spent some energy on wearing the boots)

As a beginner of snowboarding, I joined the snowboard school to learn the basic skills. Private English class is available at 27000yen for up to 3 persons (you still have to pay 27000yen if you go alone).

You can choose Japanese class at 6000yen instead if you know Japanese (my choice).

然後就由滑雪學校的職員帶著坐纜車上山頂了。

下纜車後左轉就是小商店，沒帶手套冷帽雪鏡的可以在這裡買。

滑雪學校就在旁邊，職員會細心地幫忙調好滑雪板。

Got off the ropeway at the hill top. You can find a small shop and the snowboarding school on the left.

上課前先去吃午餐，我買的Pass已包括1000円餐券，可以選價值1000円的食物，我點了咖哩飯及可樂餅，另外補上100円。

While the staff were fine tuning my snowboard, I went for lunch upstairs.

The opening offer included 1000yen food coupon, can pick up to 1000yen food and beverage without additional charge, and pay the difference when over 1000yen.

I ordered curry rice and korokke (deep fried mashed potato with beef), paid 100yen difference.

若沒有Pass就要用自助售票了。

You can also purchase from the machine with cash.

先買票，再交票給予店員，然後聽號碼取餐 (日語)。

Ordered the food, hand in the ticket to the staff and the staff will call your number when the food is ready.

第一次看著雪山吃午餐！

My first lunch with this stunning snow mountain view.

然後就開始上滑雪板課

今天只有我一個學生，但在上課期間，除了教練教授Snowboard技巧外，另外還有四個工作人員在場負責築起人牆，擋著由上方滑下的滑雪者。

而我的教練亦都很有耐性，還會給我很多鼓勵，學習效果就事半功倍了。

短短60分鐘便學懂基礎Snowboard喔！

除了懂穿鞋子、套上滑雪板外，就是要懂跌、懂站起來、滑行及如何坐吊車。

The class started after lunch. I was the only student in that class. My coach is a very patient young Japanese girl. And there were 4 staff formed a wall during the class to stop others bumping into the "classroom".

And I learned how to snowboarding within 60mins (the basic skills)!
